  • Durable and lightweight build
  • Visor clarity is impressive, especially tinted visor

  • May require replacement more often if dropped frequently

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Good looking, lightweight, comfortable helmet at an inexpensive price. Fast delivery too. Only downside is the visor hinge is very flimsy – Don’t lift it too far or it pops out of its tiny socket. (and you need 2 hands to pop it back in so it holds up your ride) Other than that, it’s a very good buy!”

Customer Review: “You have no idea how stoked I am to finally have found a brand alternative to Speed and Strength.S&S, by a longshot, manufactures the most durable, comfortable, high-quality, well-designed helmets on the market. Problem is, they’ve gotten more expensive and harder to find (especially in my size). I’ve pretty much given up on them as my go-to brand.I tried a 1Storm helmet a few months back. I wasn’t impressed. Design was awesome, shape of the helmet made me feel like an extraterrestrial riding around my motorcycle. When my last S&S helmet fell apart last Friday, I took a change on this brand and I’m super glad I did. I got the matte black helmet and installed the tinted visor and I have to say, it was so sick I couldn’t believe it was only $60. I was so stoked I was doing some ninja moves in my helmet and my dog was looking at me like I had lost my mind. What I like about this helmet:# It’s got a quick release strap# It’s soft on the inside# It’s breathable material; I didn’t feel or notice much sweat in my helmet which is impressive for the Arizona heat# It’s beautifully designed, I didn’t see any imperfections in the helmet design or finish# The tinted visor is REALLY tinted, like black-tinted not that stupid smoke color everyone tries to sell you. You have no idea the difference it makes while driving around in Arizona. Seriously. First, you can not escape the sun. And about half the day, it’s only agenda is to try and kill you by blinding you with its death rays. As soon as you drop that tinted visor down, you forget the sun is even there – that’s how harmless it feels. You would think that with as dark as the visor is, it would be hard to see. I know it’s so strange to say but the clarity of that visor is superb. It’s not dark at all from the inside, at least not like you would expect when you see the visor on the outside. It’s like looking at everything through some super, super clean sunglasses.# It’s just all around a very decent and reasonably priced helmet. What I don’t like about the helmet:# Who came up with the zipper idea?! I want to know because it can’t be someone that rides a motorcycle. I do not want a zipper around the base of my neck! If I want to cover my neck, I’ll just cover it with a jacket or something else. That’s not my helmet’s job or problem. Just stick to the stuff you got right and get rid of the zipper and I think you’ll have people coming back for years. I’m just glad it’s discreet but I still have to look at it every time I put my helmet on.Bottom line is:If you only ride occasionally or once in a blue moon, stick to the more expensive helmets – it’s better to be safe than sorry until the newer brands are put to the test. You’re not very likely to run through them that fast because you don’t ride as much. But if you ride every day like me, a simple drop of the helmet from hip-height walking down the hallway at work could impact or ruin its ability to protect you in the future if the material inside expands. Gets expensive so it becomes a bit more practical to choose a reasonably priced helmet because you end up having to buy 1-3 each year if you don’t treat them right.Get this helmet. Seriously. You’d be crazy not to sport this around town. Next paycheck, I’ll be getting another color. Can’t wait.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Excellent helmet but keep in mind the first real spill you have You’re going to need to get another one. Your head will be fine but something will be wrong with helmet. I’ve gone through three of these so far. Fell off my motorcycle in the rain My head hit the ground twice and was protected however the inner sunglass visor lever broke and it would no longer stay in the upright position. The second one I had fell off my bike while I was parked and loading my compartment and when it hit the ground some plastic piece let’s say along the back of the neck broke off and would not snap back into place and stay there I had to try to glue it and it’s still came back apart again. I’m not sure if this is normal for all motorcycle helmets but I have dropped each one of the three helmets at some point or another on the glass visor side and the glass visor stays permanently scratched. I usually ride around with the modular part up using it as a kind of half helmet and keeping the sunglasses visor attachment over my eyes. After only a few weeks of riding around the sunglass visor gets extremely scratched and scuffed from various tiny debris that would be hitting my face otherwise. At the price point of only approximately $70 when I compare this helmet to other helmets that cost upwards all the way up to approximately 1,000, as this is my first motorcycle helmet I have ever had I think this is a great product for its price point and I won’t deduct any stars because you can only expect so much from a helmet that is essentially as cheap as you can get and doesn’t leave you with a concussion if you crash.”

Customer Review: “Very nice helmet. I ordered a XL and it fits snug. I’m sure after I have worn it awhile it will loosen up some. The visor is easy to open and close and the tinted drop down visor works well with wearing my prescription glasses. All in all it’s a great helmet so far.”

Customer Review: “Helmet came with both the tinted and clear visor as intended, comes with a little bag to keep the helmet in when not being used which is a nice touch to prevent any unnecessary wear to the visor, the fit was exact from what was found on the size chart though i had to find it on their website, and the quick release is a wonderful touch when you don’t want to struggle around with taking it off. Overall a decent helmet, quality is good for the price and I obviously hope not to need to test the durability but we will see if that time ever comes!”

The dual visor setup works smoothly, the padding is comfortable, and the interior feels better than expected for a helmet in this category. Complete Buying Guide for Best Full Face Motorcycle Helmet

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing the best full face motorcycle helmet, safety certifications like DOT, ECE, or Snell are non-negotiable. The helmet’s shell material affects weight and durability; fiberglass and composite shells offer better impact absorption but often cost more than ABS. Ventilation is critical to stay cool and comfortable during rides, especially in hot climates. Look for helmets with adjustable vents and moisture-wicking liners. Visor options such as tinted or anti-fog coatings improve visibility and convenience. Finally, consider the helmet’s fit—snug but not tight—to ensure safety and comfort over long periods.

Budget Planning

Full face helmets vary widely in price, from budget-friendly models under $100 to premium helmets costing several hundred dollars. Budget helmets can offer excellent protection and features, but may lack some advanced comfort or aerodynamic benefits. If you ride daily or at high speeds, investing a bit more for better materials and ventilation pays off. For occasional riders, a solid budget helmet with DOT certification can suffice. Always prioritize safety and proper fit over flashy features.

Final Thoughts

Choosing the best full face motorcycle helmet means balancing safety, comfort, and style within your budget. Our reviewed helmets cover a broad range of needs—from lightweight modular designs to full-featured dual visor helmets. Remember to try on helmets where possible, check sizing charts carefully, and replace helmets after any impact. Your helmet is your most important gear, so pick one that fits well, feels comfortable, and keeps you protected every time you ride.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I know if a full face helmet fits properly?

A: A proper fit means the helmet should feel snug all around your head without pressure points. It should not move independently when you shake your head. Measure your head circumference and compare it with the manufacturer’s sizing chart to find the right size.

Q: What safety certifications should I look for in a full face motorcycle helmet?

A: The most common safety certifications are DOT (Department of Transportation) for the U.S., ECE (Economic Commission for Europe), and Snell. A helmet with one or more of these certifications has passed rigorous impact tests.

Q: Can I replace the visor on my full face helmet?

A: Yes, most full face helmets allow you to replace or upgrade visors. Some helmets come with dual visors (clear and tinted), and many support aftermarket visors with anti-fog or photochromic features.

Q: How often should I replace my motorcycle helmet?

A: It’s recommended to replace your helmet every 5 years or immediately after a significant impact or crash, as the protective materials can degrade over time.

Q: Are modular helmets as safe as full face helmets?

A: Modular helmets offer convenience but may provide slightly less protection at the chin compared to fixed full face helmets. However, many modern modular helmets meet the same safety certifications and are a practical choice for many riders.

In conclusion, investing in the best full face motorcycle helmet is vital for your safety and riding enjoyment. Our top picks offer a range of features and price points to suit different riders. Whether you prioritize lightweight comfort, modular convenience, or unbeatable budget value, there’s a helmet here that fits your needs. Ready to gear up and ride safer?
