Customer Review: “Its a black hoodie with 1/2″ thick flexible pads stitched into the elbows and shoulders but its loose enough to be comfortable and warm. Its like a nylon jacket inside, so it is heavy and warm and water resistant. It also comes with an optional/removable spine protector that slides into the back vertically. Its like a 6 inch wide, half inch thick flexible pad that slides up in a velcro pocket that goes from shoulder blades to mid-lower back. I paid like 88 bucks on clearance. Very worth it. Fits well. I got a 5x because they said it runs small and I usually wear a 3x but there is plenty of room. Its not tight or anything and I have a 54″ chest so it is very true to it\’s sizing. I think it says 56. I have another one coming tomorrow in the flannel variety. As far as washing, it says hand wash with like colors on cold, but I think I will just wash it separately on a gentle cycle. Nobody is hand washing their clothes like it\’s 1940. Drying, I might have to hang dry by fan until mostly dry and then tumble dry with no heat for the wrinkles for the last 10 minutes since those foam pads are in there. They will probably melt in the dryer or at the very least, twist around or make a polyurethane oil stain or something if put in a hot dryer for a good duration. Anyway, its warm, heavy, fits well, if not slightly loose like a hoodie should and the pads are not bulky enough to bother you. They are thin and flexible. I do notice that the back of the shirt length shortens a bit once that back pad is inserted.”

I probably wouldn’t like it in cold weather I’d definitely wear another sweater or jacket. I’m 5”10 165lbs and I wear a large and this large fit me exactly like a normal hoodie. It’s not bulky at all, it honestly looks like a normal hoodie even though the pads are pretty thick. Oh mine came with the back pad even though the ad said it didn’t. My buddies complain that the pads will move in a crash BUT they seem to be there more for the impact so you don’t shatter your elbows or smash your shoulders and I think they’ll work pretty good for that. It’s the Kevlar lining that’s going to help with road rash. I’d recommend this sweater. It’s an affordable and pretty good quality piece of safety equipment.”

I ordered this really knowing nothing at all about riding jackets. I read the reviews and saw the same comments about armor and protection. I didn’t realize it had a removable lining, let alone two linings that are interchangeable. As we’ve gone from hot to warm to cool, I’ve loved that I can switch between the liners for the best temp. It fits great, if maybe a bit too tight, but that may be me. Pockets? There are a ton and I honestly only use the four on the outer jacket. The description does so much hype on the pockets that I almost didn’t buy it, but I’m glad I did as the overall usability is off the charts for me. Four jackets in one! However, I purchased this jacket exclusively for summer use, so I took a risk and ordered the recommended size M. The jacket fits me absolutely perfectly. The CE armor is in the correct place without causing any discomfort. The jacket is fully adjustable at the waist, arms and neck, which let me get a perfect fit, and it is very light and decently ventilated. I opted for the Hi-Viz color and let me say, it is definitely eye catching, especially with the reflective logo, which it is worth mentioning that the branding on this jacket does not seem tacky to me, unlike some of the other budget brands. Now let’s talk about storage. In terms of it, this jacket has fewer pockets than my old jacket (Castle X). However, the number of pockets it has is more than enough for me. It comes equipped with two external zipper pockets, an internal phone pocket, and an internal generic pocket. I do not know if I will ever use the internal pockets, but the zipper pockets seem nice. Aside from that, the safety aspect is top notch, which is something I wouldn’t expect from a $50 jacket. I was in an accident a few days ago where I, quite literally, got hit by a truck. I am ordering the large right away. I absolutely love the jacket. Material is not stretchy, but usually the stretchy ones cost twice as much. nice weight, but not too heavy either. This is a good commuter jacket. The medium fit well without the armor, but with the armor added and after eating dinner, it was too tight. So, I will get the Large and based on other reviews large should fit fine and leave some room for another layer. Other jackets I’ve used before this – Sedici Garda and Dianese Air in size 54. Dianese Air is my goto jacket for summer. I used Sedici Garda last winter, but it doesn’t have a warm layer and it breathes well. So its not the best choice for winter. Its more of a Spring/Fall jacket. So I was on the lookout for a proper winter jacket, that doesn’t need to always have an extra hoodie or an extra layer underneath. This jacket absolutely solved that purpose.”

Customer Review: “Very well made, I’ve had mine for 3 or 4 days, the fit and finish are top notch for sure. Two external breast pockets fit my 7” phone, inside left side has a breast pocket too, phone fits there as well. There is also a lower left side inside pocket, it’s pretty long but my phone is too wide for it. I’m not sure what could be stored in it, it is pretty narrow, about 3” wide, this one is velcro , other pockets are zipper. All zippers are great. Sleeves have a really nice velcro design that you can pre fit the width so you don’t have to mess with it each session, the included sleeve zippers work very well for the final cinch-down. There is also ‘hinged’ tie downs for the bottom sides, a big plus vs the no hinge, just velcro style in cheaper jackets ,this makes it very easy to snug up the sides, on the down side for me though is that the anchor velcro that is permanently affixed should be 2”+ longer so I could cinch it tighter, me being on the thinner side. I’m having dirt showing very quickly, and am looking into how to keep it clean. Mine is white/black, they should reverse the black/white , and put black in center, zipper area, maybe about 5” across, and black collar with white areas underneath to keep the sporty look. Collar takes on dirt very quickly as does the zipper area, particularly the lower portion, and white on the sides. Excellent jacket. I’m 5’5” 120lb male, chest size is 36” , I bought med and it is not quite as bulky as others I’ve tried in this size which I appreciate, the sleeves are a perfect length, I would like a little less bulk, but it isn’t overly bulky like some other CE protection jackets. Oh, and it is a pretty warm jacket, tested at about 40f with long sleeve, and short sleeve shirt, sweatshirt and jacket liner with large scarf around neck, 60mph, on the bike. Under 40f though, I would probably add a thermal shirt or another sweater. There is also a zipper in the back , looks like a YKK which I think is standard if doing a track day, it allows jacket to be attached to pants with same zipper style.
