You have no idea the difference it makes while driving around in Arizona. Seriously. First, you can not escape the sun. And about half the day, it’s only agenda is to try and kill you by blinding you with its death rays. As soon as you drop that tinted visor down, you forget the sun is even there – that’s how harmless it feels. You would think that with as dark as the visor is, it would be hard to see. I know it’s so strange to say but the clarity of that visor is superb. It’s not dark at all from the inside, at least not like you would expect when you see the visor on the outside. It’s like looking at everything through some super, super clean sunglasses.# It’s just all around a very decent and reasonably priced helmet.What I don’t like about the helmet:# Who came up with the zipper idea?! I want to know because it can’t be someone that rides a motorcycle. I do not want a zipper around the base of my neck! If I want to cover my neck, I’ll just cover it with a jacket or something else. That’s not my helmet’s job or problem. Just stick to the stuff you got right and get rid of the zipper and I think you’ll have people coming back for years. I’m just glad it’s discreet but I still have to look at it every time I put my helmet on.Bottom line is:If you only ride occasionally or once in a blue moon, stick to the more expensive helmets – it’s better to be safe than sorry until the newer brands are put to the test. You’re not very likely to run through them that fast because you don’t ride as much. But if you ride every day like me, a simple drop of the helmet from hip-height walking down the hallway at work could impact or ruin its ability to protect you in the future if the material inside expands. Gets expensive so it becomes a bit more practical to choose a reasonably priced helmet because you end up having to buy 1-3 each year if you don’t treat them right.Get this helmet. Seriously. Customer Review: “My son absolutely loves this helmet. Not only was the large a perfect fit, the padding on the inside made it comfortable. This helmet came with the glove and goggles as well. The visor was very easy to attach with the thumb screws and took about 2 mins to install. The matte black color looks really modern and the quick latch chin strap makes it quick to remove when done, no need for someone to help you. The goggles have a nice tint to them to block the sun, but not to dark. The gloves have thicker plastic to protect your knuckles and they fit snugly. Oveall this is a great helmet set for the money 5 out of 5 stars for us.”

It fits my bluetooth communication system perfectly, feels high quality and like it could take a serious impact, yet is still lightweight and aerodynamic. Switching from an 1850g bucket to this one has done wonders for my neck, especially since I normally mount about 350g of cameras to my chin as well!My last helmet used to whistle with vents open, or if the visor was even open a crack… this helmet is dead silent unless you open your visor over 35mph (which goes without saying). I’ve been really enjoying the light smoke internal sun visor, which works great paired with the gold/orange tinted visor I chose with my model. The effect is more blue saturation, and looks great during the day. It also isn’t dark enough to require me to switch at night, but I often do anyway since it’s been colder lately and I’ve been fogging up a bit. Again, completely normal.ILM was very responsive when it came to me asking them a few questions about the product, and went out of their way to get me information and answers in a timely manner. From what I can tell, they’d be easy to deal with if it ever came to a product/customer support question or issue. So far I haven’t experienced anything that would make me think I would need support though… the visor is actually resisting scratches, I have a spare rear fin, a spare clear visor, and a great carrying bag to help keep it all organized and protected. They even send a bag just for your visor!The value for money of this helmet is fantastic. I literally swapped to it from a helmet that was 3x as expensive, and doesn’t have as many creature comforts. Just the presence of a thick gasket around the visor makes such a huge difference when it comes to wind noise.Literally no complaints from me as of yet, but I’ll keep this review updated if that ever changes. Love all the different colorways, and so happy with the one I ended up choosing.
