Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “This is a pretty nice helmet! I had been wearing a cheaper Triangle helmet for years, and following the general 5-year rule I decided it was time to replace. I’m glad I did! The pads in this one are much more substantial, and the shell feels sturdier while only being slightly heavier. It did feel pretty tight putting it on the first time, but after the pads have broken in a bit, it’s gotten more comfortable. Just be aware that it’ll probably feel a bit small if you’re coming from a helmet you’ve been wearing for a while. I appreciate the addition of the free tinted visor, and while I generally prefer to wear prescription sunglasses under a visor instead, it’s a nice option to have if I ever want to swap it out. I like the color a lot too – it seems like the vast majority of helmets are solid black or white, or an extremely ugly pattern of some kind. I like the simple matte olive green since it looks nice without cooking your head under the hot sun like my old black helmet did. The ventilation is good – it keeps your head cooler on warm days with the vents in the top and chin. They aren’t the best and you’re still going to get more effective ventilation by cracking your visor, but they do help. The vents are also styled in a nice subtle way that don’t make it look like you’re trying really hard to look like you’re from the future like a lot of the other cheaper ones. My biggest complaint is that the ear padding is really thick, and it’s hard to keep earbuds in if you’re wearing them while you ride. I have to cram my hands into either side to reposition them into my ears before I ride, which adds a solid 90 seconds of fiddling with the helmet every time before I get on. Another minor complaint is the nose redirection thing to keep your breath from fogging up the visor. If you have a schnoz like me, it’s going to hurt whenever you put the helmet on. Thankfully, it’s easy enough to pop out though. Overall, this is a really solid helmet! It’s on the higher end of the cheap no-name helmets, and I’m glad I sprung for the better quality one this time. I have a hard time justifying an expensive new one every 5 years, but a quality helmet at a good price point like this one encourages me to actually swap it out when I’m supposed to. Update after 4 months of near-daily wear: the biggest issue I have noticed with this helmet is the visor. The screw on the left side (while wearing it) has a tendency to come loose every couple of months and needs tightened. It’s only popped out once on me, but it’s a mild annoyance. I think it’s because the tab to lift it is on the left side, so every time you open the visor, it loosens that screw a tiny bit. It’s not enough to ding it a star as this has been a great helmet, but it’s something to consider.”

Customer Review: “I ordered this in large according to the size chart, tried it on inside my house and immediately thought it was too tight. Wore it for less than a minute and said nope. I suffer migraine syndrome, so I try not to provoke it with tight hats or helmets. I should have kept it on longer, though. I put it right back into the box and returned it. I then ordered another large by mistake thinking I got an extra large (dumb of me, I know). I got stuck with it and decided to try it on for a 30 minute bike ride. Wow! It does slide on tight around the ears, but I learned to pull the strap tight against the padding and get one ear at a time, then did the same with the other strap and two ears at a time without catching hardly at all. Problem solved. Once on my head, I actually forgot it was there when I road across town to a friends house and have her a hug. I head butted her, and again when I said sorry and tried to kiss her forehead… lol! So I found it to be super lightweight, comfortable, seemingly well made with nice materials. I took it on the highway and hear a slight whistle over 60mph, but personally I won’t be hitting the interstate often. This is my around town and work commute helmet. The reviews from others who have spilled, swear by it. I trust it, and it’s a nice helmet compared to the poorly designed helmets I’ve worn in the past. Great value! If yours feels tight but your sizing was right, try the strap method I spoke of and just go for a ride before you decide. I think a size up would have been wobbly and that would have been more of a noticeable problem. Oh, and the matte black finish matches my satin/matte black bike almost perfectly.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Fits good and comfortable. Nice and light. Good strap.”

Customer Review: “Great helmet for riding, and i feel more protected rather than the half face or top helmets. The price is 30 dollars less than the almost similar one at Walmart. Only issue is figuring out how to switch visors the first time. Though it looks self explanatory that is all the information you have, booklet has no directions on switching visors. But easy once you figure it out, a bit harder if your a guy and no finger nails though.”

Cons:
  • Ventilation can feel stuffy in warm weather

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “For an entry level helmet that’s not costing a few hundred dollars, I couldn’t find a better value. It has Bluetooth cutouts, comes with both a clear, and tinted shield, and a flip down smoked visor. The quality is good, fit true to size. There is a decent amount of noise that makes it through and can drown out calls, so if you are looking for a quiet helmet this may not be the one for you. The look is nothing flashy but I think it does look nice with its subtle curves and lines. I find it to be comfortable, but doesn’t breathe well on hot days, so may be great for winter riding to keep warm, but can be stuffy in warm weather. All in all, for the price point, I think it’s a great value.”

Customer Review: “First I got this an my hubby got the all matte black. They are well put together and fit exactly. I love the ability to change it up in style. It came with so much little goodies including gloves and a baklava. The inside shaded goggles that are retractable is a great feature. Its comfortable and feels light but secure. Visor up down and a extra tinted one if that is what you want. Great quality! Very easy to get on an off.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Greeeeat helmet. I had a brake pad come off of a car in front of me on the highway. Helmet took it like a champ and saved my money maker! The company even helped with out with a warranty when the mouth piece broke off during that experience. If you live somewhere where the weather can cause condensation from your breath, look into getting a pin lock insert, with that installed the helmet has been made perfect for me. I enjoy the built in visor for when my sunglasses aren’t completely cutting it, and my sunglasses fit comfortably while wearing the helmet which is a huge pro for me. The only con would be wind noise, but I sit high on my bike where the windscreen isn’t blocking all of the air. I’ve also got long hair which breaks the seal around my neck, so at speed I notice the wind noise a lot more than just driving through the city. Could be me, could be the helmet, just something to be aware of.”

Customer Review: “The helmet is fantastic. I love the fit (comfortable) and the style. the color is great and the gloss looks fantastic. The value is perfect for what it costs. The ventilation is nice to have as well!”

  • Strong DOT certified protection
  • Attractive blue stripe design
Cons:
  • Snug fit around cheeks for some users
  • Minor paint imperfections reported

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Overall, this is a very nice helmet but fits a bit snug around the cheeks/face. As per the instructions, I measured my head and got a medium as that is where I fell. At the top/crown of my head, the helmet fits great – snug with pretty much no movement, but not painful — just how you want it. Along the cheeks though, it is a very snug fit and while not painful, could best be described as lightly uncomfortable. I believe though that with time and use, these will ‘pack in’ a bit an not be as noticeable. The look of the helmet is great and the included gloves/goggles/facemask are ok and a nice touch. If you are really into motorcycles and especially off road, you probably have your own stuff, but if you are just getting into it or are looking for a package deal, this is a decent addition and again, a nice touch to include with the helmet. I hope to never have to test its ability to protect me in a crash, but overall, I think this is a good value and a good looking product that I would buy again.”

Customer Review: “I could not be more impressed with the quality of each of the items that came with this. The goggles are especially impressive because they’re heavy! I would have expected them to be really light and flimsy feeling and just thrown in the box with the helmet as extra fluff to make it seem like a great deal when, in reality, they and the other ‘accessories’ may as well have been purchased from a dollar store. That’s not the case at all though- each item is well made and seems as though I will get a lot of life out of them. There were some minor paint flaws on the helmet where it looked almost like drip marks as the pattern was a bit bumpy where it obviously shouldn’t have been, but that is a very minimal complaint and hardly noticeable unless pointed out and a person goes looking for it. Overall, I am extremely happy with this product- or, rather, these products!”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Absolutely thrilled with my new motorcycle helmet! The sun protection feature is a game-changer for long rides under the scorching sun. Not only does it shield my eyes from glare, but it also ensures I stay cool and comfortable throughout my journey. The helmet’s design is sleek and aerodynamic, providing both style and functionality. Safety is paramount, and this helmet exceeds expectations with its sturdy build and secure fit. Five stars all the way for this fantastic helmet that combines sun protection, style, and safety seamlessly. Highly recommend to any fellow riders looking for top-notch gear!”

Customer Review: “I purchased this helmet for my son to use while riding his motorcycle, and overall, it’s a great value for the price. The helmet meets DOT safety standards, which gives me peace of mind knowing he has a decent level of protection. It feels sturdy, and the padding inside provides a snug yet comfortable fit. The tinted visor is a nice feature for daytime riding, helping to reduce glare. However, it might not be ideal for nighttime use, so having a clear visor as an option would be a plus. Ventilation is decent, keeping airflow manageable without excessive fogging. The helmet is also lightweight enough to avoid neck strain during longer rides. For an affordable full-face helmet, this one delivers on safety, comfort, and style. My son loves the design, and I feel confident that he’s well-protected on the road. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly helmet with solid features, this is a great choice.”

Complete Buying Guide for Best Budget Full Face Motorcycle Helmet

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing the best budget full face motorcycle helmet, safety certifications like DOT, ECE, or FMVSS-218 are non-negotiable. The helmet’s material, ventilation system, visor quality, and comfort padding also play crucial roles. Look for helmets with adjustable vents for airflow, durable ABS or composite shells, and removable liners for hygiene. Features like tinted or interchangeable visors add versatility. Fit is key — helmets should feel snug but not uncomfortable, with no pressure points.

Budget Planning

Budget helmets can vary widely in price, but many quality options exist under $150 that meet safety standards. Prioritize helmets with trusted certifications rather than simply the cheapest price. Consider extras like included goggles or gloves if you’re on a tight budget and want a bundle. Remember, investing in a helmet is investing in your safety, so balance cost with features and protection.

Final Thoughts

Choosing the best budget full face motorcycle helmet involves balancing safety, comfort, and price. Our list includes helmets that excel in these areas, offering riders peace of mind without overspending. Always try helmets on if possible, and replace them every 5 years or after any impact. With the right helmet, you’ll enjoy safer, more comfortable rides every time you hit the road.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are budget full face helmets safe?

A: Yes, many budget helmets meet safety certifications such as DOT and ECE, ensuring they provide adequate protection. Always check for these certifications when purchasing.

Q: How do I know what size helmet to buy?

A: Measure the circumference of your head just above the eyebrows using a flexible tape measure. Compare this measurement with the helmet brand’s size chart to find the best fit.

Q: Can I use a tinted visor at night?

A: Tinted visors reduce visibility in low light and are not recommended for night riding. Consider helmets with interchangeable or clear visors for all-day use.

Q: How often should I replace my motorcycle helmet?

A: It’s generally recommended to replace your helmet every 3 to 5 years, or immediately after any crash or impact, even if no damage is visible.

Q: Are modular helmets as safe as full face helmets?

A: Modular helmets meet safety standards but may offer slightly less structural rigidity than traditional full face helmets. They provide convenience but consider your riding style and safety priorities.

Choosing the right best budget full face motorcycle helmet can make a huge difference in your riding experience. Our top picks balance affordability, protection, and comfort so you can focus on the road ahead. Don’t wait—invest in your safety today and enjoy every ride with confidence. Check out the options above and pick the helmet that fits your style and needs!
