Customer Review: “This is a pretty nice helmet! I had been wearing a cheaper Triangle helmet for years, and following the general 5-year rule I decided it was time to replace. I’m glad I did! The pads in this one are much more substantial, and the shell feels sturdier while only being slightly heavier. It did feel pretty tight putting it on the first time, but after the pads have broken in a bit, it’s gotten more comfortable. Just be aware that it’ll probably feel a bit small if you’re coming from a helmet you’ve been wearing for a while. I appreciate the addition of the free tinted visor, and while I generally prefer to wear prescription sunglasses under a visor instead, it’s a nice option to have if I ever want to swap it out. The ventilation is good – it keeps your head cooler on warm days with the vents in the top and chin. They aren’t the best and you’re still going to get more effective ventilation by cracking your visor, but they do help. The vents are also styled in a nice subtle way that don’t make it look like you’re trying really hard to look like you’re from the future like a lot of the other cheaper ones. My biggest complaint is that the ear padding is really thick, and it’s hard to keep earbuds in if you’re wearing them while you ride. I have to cram my hands into either side to reposition them into my ears before I ride, which adds a solid 90 seconds of fiddling with the helmet every time before I get on. Another minor complaint is the nose redirection thing to keep your breath from fogging up the visor. If you have a schnoz like me, it’s going to hurt whenever you put the helmet on. Thankfully, it’s easy enough to pop out though. Overall, this is a really solid helmet! It’s on the higher end of the cheap no-name helmets, and I’m glad I sprung for the better quality one this time. I have a hard time justifying an expensive new one every 5 years, but a quality helmet at a good price point like this one encourages me to actually swap it out when I’m supposed to. Update after 4 months of near-daily wear: the biggest issue I have noticed with this helmet is the visor. The screw on the left side (while wearing it) has a tendency to come loose every couple of months and needs tightened. It’s only popped out once on me, but it’s a mild annoyance. I think it’s because the tab to lift it is on the left side, so every time you open the visor, it loosens that screw a tiny bit. It’s not enough to ding it a star as this has been a great helmet, but it’s something to consider.”

Customer Review: “I ordered this in large according to the size chart, tried it on inside my house and immediately thought it was too tight. Wore it for less than a minute and said nope. I suffer migraine syndrome, so I try not to provoke it with tight hats or helmets. I should have kept it on longer, though. I put it right back into the box and returned it. I then ordered another large by mistake thinking I got an extra large (dumb of me, I know). I got stuck with it and decided to try it on for a 30 minute bike ride. Wow! It does slide on tight around the ears, but I learned to pull the strap tight against the padding and get one ear at a time, then did the same with the other strap and two ears at a time without catching hardly at all. Problem solved. Once on my head, I actually forgot it was there when I road across town to a friends house and have her a hug. I head butted her, and again when I said sorry and tried to kiss her forehead… lol! So I found it to be super lightweight, comfortable, seemingly well made with nice materials. I took it on the highway and hear a slight whistle over 60mph, but personally I won’t be hitting the interstate often. This is my around town and work commute helmet. The reviews from others who have spilled, swear by it. I trust it, and it’s a nice helmet compared to the poorly designed helmets I’ve worn in the past. Great value! If yours feels tight but your sizing was right, try the strap method I spoke of and just go for a ride before you decide. I think a size up would have been wobbly and that would have been more of a noticeable problem. Oh, and the matte black finish matches my satin/matte black bike almost perfectly.”

Customer Review: “Great Helmet, good fit for son 13 6ft 3 180lbs. Purchased this to keep him safe on his Electric Scooter which goes up 2 30mph. He had 1 accident recently when he had to take a dive to avoid a car backing out suddenly. He was pretty skinned up and even hit his chin area on the road ect and was going about 15mph at the time however, this helmet fully protected his head and chin with out tearing up the helmet either. The gloves didn’t hold up so well and are both torn from this accident and hitting the pavement. Prior to the accident the gloves fit well and helped w a good grip ect. Tho the gloves tore his hands were unscathed so they did their job. Highly recommend this helmet for safety and looks good as well. The gloves, helmet, and eye protection are a good quality, fit, comfort, and price point. Wish gloves had held up a bit more but they protected my kid so no complaints.”

Only issue is figuring out how to switch visors the first time. Though it looks self explanatory that is all the information you have, booklet has no directions on switching visors. Customer Review: “Fits perfectly. It is probably the most comfortable helmet I’ve ever worn. I’ve had Shoei, S&S, ScorpionExo, Ruroc, and Icon and this is by far the most comfy helmet!! It has cutouts for my cardo system so the speakers don’t squeeze my ears. It’s sturdy and well made. The blacked out visor is dark enough to not see inside but light enough to where I can see perfectly out of it, giving you that privacy and UV protection. It is a little hot inside but not terrible. Road noise is at a minimum. Great value for your money!”

It goes on a bit tight but once you slide it all the way on, it just perfectly fits the shape of your head (at least for me it did). The helmet is comfortable and lightweight. Ventilation is phenomenal and it’s also very quiet inside the helmet. It actually even blocks out a lot of the motorcycle noises. JBL 45mm helmet speakers fit perfectly inside the helmet without the booster pads. I removed the foam covers from them since the cheek guard panel goes over them anyways (does not seem to have any affect on tone or volume). Not only that but with the speakers in place, they’re perfectly aligned with my ears and fit relatively closely to them without causing discomfort. You hardly even feel them, but they sound amazing. I love this helmet, especially with the American classic style artwork. Looks sick with a nice leather jacket. Buy it. It’s comfortable. It’s rad. It meets EU safety standards (which are more strict than US standards).”

Customer Review: “Really like the Exo Covert as it has the classic styling which I’ve always seen drag racers wear, but even slightly modernized. Great comfort and fits my headshape very well. As compared to my previous helmet it is much better ventilated and by a good margin the quietest helmet I’ve experienced. Cushions are nice and comfy as well. The visor is great and has very small increments of adjustments which allow it to be left at any position you’d like. Biggest gripe would be the vent controls. The front one is on the inside of the helmet right in front of your chin and cannot easily be accessed while riding let alone with gloves on. The top one is fine but not intuitive as it is a left to right function. Neither are clear which position is open vs closed.”

I Really wanted a very safe and Snell certified helmet, apart form the obvious DOT certification, and this one was a perfect fit for me. It fits really snug, looks sick, and feels very comfortable on my head without feeling too heavy. It does seem to be well built and has on/off air holes on top of the head and at your mouth that you can open for ventilation. Trust me this makes a difference especially on a cold LA night to keep your head warm. I also got Cardo audio system on it and this helmet was perfectly fitted with velcro for the Cardo earpieces. Definitely recommend!”

Customer Review: “So far I love this helmet – the design and the fit. It’s very snug but still comfortable. I tried on several other helmets from other manufacturers and they all gave me a headache after wearing for only 5-10 minutes. Tried on an EXO-R430 at a local shop and loved the fit (I have a longer, more oval head), but I didn’t like the design. It has a HUGE R430 graphic on it. I found this one a couple of months ago while searching for helmets online, and thought I missed out on it as I couldn’t find it anywhere – all sellers showed out of stock. I contacted Scorpion and they said it was a brand new design and wouldn’t be available until the end of December, so I patiently waited. I’m glad I did. I LOVE the design. The only thing I would say is that the ‘red’ isn’t really red – it’s like a neon orange/red. I was specifically looking for red, but it doesn’t bother me – it still looks great. I’ve only worn it out for a ride once, so I’ll return with additional feedback as I use it. I did notice right away though that it doesn’t fog up nearly as much as my old helmet. It was also a bit tricky to swap the face shields (I bought a dark smoke one), but if you pay attention and use a little logic, it’s not too terrible.”
