Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Great helmet just fits snug, you can probably go the same size as what you normally get but it will hurt a little until you break it in. All in all it’s amazing and doesn’t fog up. Looks better than the average helmet too. Will definitely get a backup for myself.”

Customer Review: “Helmet came with both the tinted and clear visor as intended, comes with a little bag to keep the helmet in when not being used which is a nice touch to prevent any unnecessary wear to the visor, the fit was exact from what was found on the size chart though i had to find it on their website, and the quick release is a wonderful touch when you don’t want to struggle around with taking it off. Overall a decent helmet, quality is good for the price and I obviously hope not to need to test the durability but we will see if that time ever comes!”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Super strong and sturdy. Fits great and is comfortable. I would buy this same one again. Super sleek look and gets a lot of complements.”

Customer Review: “Ordered a LARGE per the sizing/measuring instructions and it fits perfect. The visor works smoothly, positive clicks but easy enough to lift/lower. Quick-release chin strap is pretty much a must now as the ol’ D-rings is sooo 1970’s. Nice looking helmet and is MUCH better made than the ‘Fuel’ brand you get at the Wally World. Cheaper, too. I hope and pray to NEVER find out how it would fare in a crash but I expect at least as good as any other helmet in its price class. First impressions, I like it. And for the reasonable price, even if the interior starts to fall apart after a couple years, who cares– get another one.”

  • Visor hinge feels a bit flimsy
  • Zipper around neck scarf may be bothersome for some

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Good looking, lightweight, comfortable helmet at an inexpensive price. Fast delivery too. Only downside is the visor hinge is very flimsy – Don’t lift it too far or it pops out of its tiny socket. (and you need 2 hands to pop it back in so it holds up your ride) Other than that, it’s a very good buy!”

Customer Review: “You have no idea how stoked I am to finally have found a brand alternative to Speed and Strength.S&S, by a longshot, manufactures the most durable, comfortable, high-quality, well-designed helmets on the market. Problem is, they’ve gotten more expensive and harder to find (especially in my size). I’ve pretty much given up on them as my go-to brand.I tried a 1Storm helmet a few months back. I wasn’t impressed. Design was awesome, shape of the helmet made me feel like an extraterrestrial riding around my motorcycle. When my last S&S helmet fell apart last Friday, I took a change on this brand and I’m super glad I did. I got the matte black helmet and installed the tinted visor and I have to say, it was so sick I couldn’t believe it was only $60. I was so stoked I was doing some ninja moves in my helmet and my dog was looking at me like I had lost my mind. What I like about this helmet:# It’s got a quick release strap# It’s soft on the inside# It’s breathable material; I didn’t feel or notice much sweat in my helmet which is impressive for the Arizona heat# It’s beautifully designed, I didn’t see any imperfections in the helmet design or finish# The tinted visor is REALLY tinted, like black-tinted not that stupid smoke color everyone tries to sell you. You have no idea the difference it makes while driving around in Arizona. Seriously. First, you can not escape the sun. And about half the day, it’s only agenda is to try and kill you by blinding you with its death rays. As soon as you drop that tinted visor down, you forget the sun is even there – that’s how harmless it feels. You would think that with as dark as the visor is, it would be hard to see. I know it’s so strange to say but the clarity of that visor is superb. It’s not dark at all from the inside, at least not like you would expect when you see the visor on the outside. It’s like looking at everything through some super, super clean sunglasses.# It’s just all around a very decent and reasonably priced helmet. What I don’t like about the helmet:# Who came up with the zipper idea?! I want to know because it can’t be someone that rides a motorcycle. I do not want a zipper around the base of my neck! If I want to cover my neck, I’ll just cover it with a jacket or something else. That’s not my helmet’s job or problem. Just stick to the stuff you got right and get rid of the zipper and I think you’ll have people coming back for years. I’m just glad it’s discreet but I still have to look at it every time I put my helmet on.Bottom line is:If you only ride occasionally or once in a blue moon, stick to the more expensive helmets – it’s better to be safe than sorry until the newer brands are put to the test. You’re not very likely to run through them that fast because you don’t ride as much. But if you ride every day like me, a simple drop of the helmet from hip-height walking down the hallway at work could impact or ruin its ability to protect you in the future if the material inside expands. Gets expensive so it becomes a bit more practical to choose a reasonably priced helmet because you end up having to buy 1-3 each year if you don’t treat them right.Get this helmet. Seriously. You’d be crazy not to sport this around town. Next paycheck, I’ll be getting another color. Can’t wait.”

Customer Review: “Love it. Fits nice and snug. The vents really help keep it from fogging up and also to cool off in hot weather. I’ve seen a lot of helmets that are more expensive, but this one checks all the boxes for me!”

Customer Review: “I ordered a medium because that was the size of my previous helmet. Well, it was too small. I returned it and ordered a large. It fits good. A little tight to get on, but it does not wiggle around on your head. My head is 23 inches. I did think that the clear visor and sun visor were connected to each other, and you could just move one out of the way when you needed to change. Not sure anyone wants to carry an extra face shield (visor) around with them and pull over to change them out. The helmet looks really cool. They give you this anti fog/glare thing in the box that you put on the clear visor. It does help with eh fogging up, but it still does it. They only give you 1, so you can’t put it on the sun visor. Overall, pretty good helmet. I would order agaian.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Fits perfectly. It is probably the most comfortable helmet I’ve ever worn. I’ve had Shoei, S&S, ScorpionExo, Ruroc, and Icon and this is by far the most comfy helmet!! It has cutouts for my cardo system so the speakers don’t squeeze my ears. It’s sturdy and well made. The blacked out visor is dark enough to not see inside but light enough to where I can see perfectly out of it, giving you that privacy and UV protection. It is a little hot inside but not terrible. Road noise is at a minimum. Great value for your money!”

Customer Review: “Got this as a kind of cheap replacement for my more expensive helmets. I’ve been living away from home and didn’t want to spend the money for the really expensive helmets that I had back home. So I got this and it’s a pretty good helmet. I feel like it fits well and provides good coverage. It’s very comfortable. I think it’s a pretty stylish too. I like that it comes with two face shields also.”

Pros:
  • High-quality fiberglass shell
  • Excellent ventilation and anti-fog features
  • Bluetooth-compatible design
  • Removable and washable interior pads
Cons:
  • Limited size availability at times
  • Somewhat plain exterior design

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I do not understand why so many exterior motorcycle helmet designs are extremely plain/boring — or look WAY too much like they’re meant for football players.Unlike typical helmets, the colors of the ‘rally navy’ by LEM are both beautiful and unique. I LOVE, LOVE the look!I am a female, but believe the look would work for both males and females.I cannot comment about the noise level because the size small turned out to be too tight for my 22\” head… more specifically, my oversized forehead was the problem. I could get it on fine, but it left a horizontal line across my forehead after wearing it just 30 minutes.I contacted LEM to ask when they would have a size medium available in this style. They responded very quickly, but was told they would be back in stock in March or April (2026).Although I had to return the size small due to the tight fit issue, I was highly impressed by the quality of both the interior and exterior — to include not only the padding, but also the chin strap. The only con in my opinion is the fact that it is not available in the modular style. I would very much prefer to be able to keep my helmet on while stopped and talking to other people, or drinking water, etc. There’s also the matter of me living (and riding) in the intense Florida heat and humidity. Nonetheless, I will be ordering a medium once that size becomes available because the pros of the high quality and this awesome design FAR outweigh the single (subjective) con of it being a full face type of helmet.”

Customer Review: “This helmet looks really good. But, when I was trying to add an intercom system. The black rim cover on the bottom of the helmet came undone.”

Complete Buying Guide for Extra Large Full Face Motorcycle Helmet

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing an extra large full face motorcycle helmet, safety certification is paramount. Look for DOT, ECE, or Snell approvals to ensure the helmet meets rigorous safety standards. Comfort and fit come next—helmets must offer ample space without being loose, with adjustable padding and secure straps. Ventilation matters greatly for longer rides, so helmets with multiple vents keep you cool and reduce fogging. Also, consider visor options like tinted or clear for varying light conditions. Weight and materials like ABS or fiberglass affect comfort and protection. Finally, features like removable liners, quick-release chin straps, and Bluetooth compatibility add convenience.

Budget Planning

Helmets range in price from budget-friendly to premium. While cheaper helmets can offer DOT certification and basic protection, investing in mid-range helmets often brings better materials, improved ventilation, and longer-lasting comfort. High-end helmets may include advanced safety tech, enhanced aerodynamics, and connectivity features. Decide what features matter most to you and balance price with quality, especially considering that a helmet is a critical safety device.

Final Thoughts

Your extra large full face motorcycle helmet should provide a secure, comfortable fit with excellent protection. Prioritize safety certifications and fit, then look for features that suit your riding style and climate. Trying helmets on before purchase is ideal, but if ordering online, check sizing charts carefully. A well-chosen helmet can enhance your riding experience and keep you safe on the road.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I measure my head size for an extra large full face motorcycle helmet?

A: Use a soft tape measure to wrap around the largest part of your head, typically just above the eyebrows and ears. Compare this measurement to the helmet brand’s sizing chart to find the correct size.

Q: Are extra large helmets heavier than standard sizes?

A: Not necessarily. While some extra large helmets may weigh slightly more due to size, modern materials and designs focus on keeping helmets lightweight and comfortable regardless of size.

Q: Can I use tinted visors at night?

A: It’s not recommended to use tinted visors in low-light or night conditions as they reduce visibility. Opt for a clear visor during night rides for optimal safety.

Q: How often should I replace my motorcycle helmet?

A: Most manufacturers recommend replacing helmets every 5 years or immediately after any significant impact or crash to ensure continued protection.

Q: Do extra large helmets offer the same safety as regular sizes?
