Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Good looking, lightweight, comfortable helmet at an inexpensive price. Fast delivery too. Only downside is the visor hinge is very flimsy – Don’t lift it too far or it pops out of its tiny socket. (and you need 2 hands to pop it back in so it holds up your ride) Other than that, it’s a very good buy!”

Customer Review: “You have no idea how stoked I am to finally have found a brand alternative to Speed and Strength.S&S, by a longshot, manufactures the most durable, comfortable, high-quality, well-designed helmets on the market. Problem is, they’ve gotten more expensive and harder to find (especially in my size). I’ve pretty much given up on them as my go-to brand.I tried a 1Storm helmet a few months back. I wasn’t impressed. Design was awesome, shape of the helmet made me feel like an extraterrestrial riding around my motorcycle. When my last S&S helmet fell apart last Friday, I took a change on this brand and I’m super glad I did. I got the matte black helmet and installed the tinted visor and I have to say, it was so sick I couldn’t believe it was only $60. I was so stoked I was doing some ninja moves in my helmet and my dog was looking at me like I had lost my mind. What I like about this helmet:# It’s got a quick release strap# It’s soft on the inside# It’s breathable material; I didn’t feel or notice much sweat in my helmet which is impressive for the Arizona heat# It’s beautifully designed, I didn’t see any imperfections in the helmet design or finish# The tinted visor is REALLY tinted, like black-tinted not that stupid smoke color everyone tries to sell you. You have no idea the difference it makes while driving around in Arizona. Seriously. First, you can not escape the sun. And about half the day, it’s only agenda is to try and kill you by blinding you with its death rays. As soon as you drop that tinted visor down, you forget the sun is even there – that’s how harmless it feels. You would think that with as dark as the visor is, it would be hard to see. I know it’s so strange to say but the clarity of that visor is superb. It’s not dark at all from the inside, at least not like you would expect when you see the visor on the outside. It’s like looking at everything through some super, super clean sunglasses.# It’s just all around a very decent and reasonably priced helmet. What I don’t like about the helmet:# Who came up with the zipper idea?! I want to know because it can’t be someone that rides a motorcycle. I do not want a zipper around the base of my neck! If I want to cover my neck, I’ll just cover it with a jacket or something else. That’s not my helmet’s job or problem. Just stick to the stuff you got right and get rid of the zipper and I think you’ll have people coming back for years. I’m just glad it’s discreet but I still have to look at it every time I put my helmet on.Bottom line is:If you only ride occasionally or once in a blue moon, stick to the more expensive helmets – it’s better to be safe than sorry until the newer brands are put to the test. You’re not very likely to run through them that fast because you don’t ride as much. But if you ride every day like me, a simple drop of the helmet from hip-height walking down the hallway at work could impact or ruin its ability to protect you in the future if the material inside expands. Gets expensive so it becomes a bit more practical to choose a reasonably priced helmet because you end up having to buy 1-3 each year if you don’t treat them right.Get this helmet. Seriously. You’d be crazy not to sport this around town. Next paycheck, I’ll be getting another color. Can’t wait.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Amazing!!!! For my first motorcycle helmet it’s awesome!!!!!!! Fits great! I can wear my hair up and down and it still snug yet comfy. Ooooo I’m excited to be able to go on rides with my bf🥰”

Customer Review: “I first bought the small. And wow it’s a tight fit. Really hard to breathe. I am only 5,3 and 130 lbs. I messaged them and they said only solution is to buy a bigger one. I know my head is not big. Fast forward to medium size now that I just unboxed. It is slightly bigger. But the difference was there. I got used to it as it is more wearable than the small one. I bought this to ride my ebike that goes 45 mph. As for falling face first. Let’s just hope that never happens.”

Complete Buying Guide for Large Full Face Motorcycle Helmet

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing a large full face motorcycle helmet, safety certifications like DOT or FMVSS-218 are non-negotiable. Look for helmets with a durable outer shell made of ABS or polycarbonate and impact-absorbing EPS liners. Ventilation is key to comfort, so multiple well-placed vents help regulate airflow and reduce fogging. Consider features like removable liners for easy cleaning, dual visors for different light conditions, and additional accessories such as neck scarves or gloves if you ride in varied weather. Fit is critical—measure your head carefully and check sizing charts to ensure a snug but comfortable fit that won’t loosen over time.

Budget Planning

Full face helmets come in a wide price range, from budget-friendly options to premium models with advanced features. Set a realistic budget based on your riding frequency and needs. Entry-level helmets can offer great protection and comfort, especially when DOT-certified. If you ride often or in diverse weather, investing in helmets with removable liners, multiple visors, and superior ventilation will improve your experience. Remember, a helmet is an investment in your safety, so balance cost with quality and features.

Final Thoughts

Choosing the right large full face motorcycle helmet is about matching your riding style and comfort preferences with safety features. Prioritize certification, fit, and ventilation, and don’t hesitate to try on different models. Whether you want accessory bundles, tinted visors, or lightweight designs, there’s a helmet out there tailored to your needs. This guide and our top picks will help you find a helmet that keeps you safe, comfortable, and confident on the road.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I know if a full face helmet fits properly?

A: Measure the circumference of your head about one inch above your eyebrows. Use the manufacturer’s sizing chart and try the helmet on to ensure it fits snugly without causing pressure points. The helmet should not move when you shake your head but also shouldn’t be uncomfortably tight.

Q: What is the difference between DOT and other helmet certifications?

A: DOT (Department of Transportation) certification is a U.S. standard indicating the helmet meets minimum safety requirements. Other certifications like ECE or Snell may have different testing standards. DOT is widely accepted and sufficient for street riding in the U.S.

Q: Can I replace or clean the inside lining of my helmet?

A: Many modern helmets come with removable and washable liners. Always check if your helmet has this feature for easy cleaning, which helps maintain hygiene and comfort.

Q: Are tinted visors safe for night riding?

A: No, tinted visors reduce visibility in low light conditions and are not recommended for night riding. Use a clear visor at night or in poor visibility conditions.

Q: How often should I replace my motorcycle helmet?

A: Helmets should generally be replaced every 5 years or immediately after any impact, even if there is no visible damage, as internal components may degrade.

Choosing the right large full face motorcycle helmet can transform your riding experience. From top safety certifications to comfort-enhancing features, these helmets offer protection and style tailored to your needs. Explore the options above to find your perfect fit, and always prioritize safety on the road. Ready to gear up? Click through to check prices and grab the ideal helmet for your next ride today!
